Amos Botsford Chandler

     Amos Botsford Chandler was born on 19 March 1825 at Amherst, Cumberland Co, Nova Scotia. He married Mary Kerr, daughter of Joseph Norman Bond Kerr and Charlotte Baker, on 8 November 1849 at Woody Bank Cottage, Wallace, Cumberland Co, Nova Scotia; They were married by Rev. R. Avery in a double ceremony with her sister Ann and William Oxley.1 Amos Botsford Chandler died in December 1879 at Buffalo, Erie Co, New York, at age 54; "Amos B. Chandler, formerly a resident of Richibucto, age 62, died at Buffalo, New York, last month. He was riding on horseback and fell off. He was caught before reaching the ground but was already dead."2
     He appeared on the census of 1861 at Richibuctou, Kent Co, New Brunswick; Amos B. Chandler, 36, Mary, 32, Janette, 8, Botsford, 3, along with two servants, Ann Mcpherson, 23, and Ann Mcneil, 20.3
