Patience Hammond was born circa 1779.^3,4 She was the daughter of Zebedee Hammond and Martha Bennett. Patience Hammond married James Bullock before 1803; This marriage is indicated by "First Families of New Brunswick, but I can't find confirmation. However, Ptolemy Lombard was witness to marriage of James Lester and Martha Bennett Bullick in 1821. She was likely the daughter of this James Bullock/Bullick and Patience, named for her mother.⁵ Patience Hammond married Ptolemy Lombard before 1813.⁶ Patience Hammond died on 22 October 1846 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.³ She was buried on 25 October 1846 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Funeral was to be Sunday at half past 2 o'clock "from her late residence, Portland (St. John)."³
Patience Hammond was also known as Patunel Hammond.
