     Rudolphus F. Hepburn was born on 30 January 1857 at Musquash, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1 He was the son of Charles Hepburn and Lydia Trafton. Rudolphus F. Hepburn married Mabel Hargrove, daughter of John William Hargrove and Sarah Jane Belding, on 30 November 1887.2 Rudolphus F. Hepburn died on 30 March 1905 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick, at age 48; He was agd 48, born Musquash.3 He was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; The funeral home in charge of arrangements was Chamberlain's.
     He appeared on the census of 1891; The 1891 Saint John census showed "Rodolphus" then aged 35 and a Baptist, living at Musquash with his wife "Mable" aged 25. He appeared on the census of 1901 at Musquash, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Adolphus Hepburn, 44 (b. 30 Jan 1857), wife Mabel J., 34 (b. 8 Apr 1866), and cousin Roy M. Bolthouse?, 14 (11 Jun 1886).4 He lived in 1905 at 57 Lombard Street, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. According to Eugene & Margaret Hargrove [1981], Rudolphus, or Adolphus as they called him, was burned to death when a lantern he was carrying suddenly exploded.
