William Albert Hepburn

     William Albert Hepburn was born on 30 May 1873 at Musquash, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.^1,2 He was the son of Charles Hepburn and Lydia Trafton. William Albert Hepburn married Jennie Sophia Daley, daughter of Joseph Daley and Mary Hepburn, on 11 November 1907 at Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co, California.^3,1,4 William Albert Hepburn died on 14 February 1942 at 1917 No. Evergreen Street, Burbank, Los Angeles Co, California, at age 68; William A. Hepburn was 68 yrs, 8 mos 14 days, death caused by coronary occlusion due to arteriosclererosis. He had lived in that community for three years.² He was buried on 17 February 1942 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Glendale, Los Angeles Co, California.²

Hepburn, 34, and Jennie, 32, had been married 3 years.⁴ He appeared on the census of 7 January 1920 at San Juan, San Juan Co, Washington; William A. Hepburn, 45, Jennie S., 43, Harold P., 7, Dorothy M. 4 yrs 8 mos, David W., 1 yr 11 mos. William had come to the US in 1883 and Jennie arrived in 1906.⁶ He appeared on the census of 1930 at South Gate, Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co, California; William A. Hepburn, 58, Jennie S., 49, Harold P., 17, May 15, David W., 12, and Lydia L., 9. All children born CA.⁷ He was naturalized on 31 December 1934 at Clerk of Court, Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co, California; William had filed his original intention at Bellingham, Washington's US District Court on 13 Feb 1920. He emigrated to the US from Saint John, New Brunswick in 1892 through Bangor, Maine by way of the Grand Trunk Railway. He listed his wife and children, their birthdates and his marriage date.^3,1
