John William Hargrove

     John William Hargrove was born on 1 October 1838; 1891 census Musquash, Saint John County, NB. He married Sarah Jane Belding, daughter of David Belding and Jane Thomas, on 8 October 1863 at Lancaster, Saint John Co, New Brunswick, by Rev. W.S. Covert.¹ John William Hargrove died on 23 May 1916 at age 77. He was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.²
     The 1891 census of Musquash Parish, Saint John County, lists John Hargrove as Anglican, and living with his wife Sarah, listed as aged 57 and a Baptist. There were only three children at home at that time, all being raised as Baptists: "Gussie", 16, William, 14 and David, 23.
