Samuel Belding was born on 24 July 1788 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1
He was the son of Daniel Belding and Mabel Bristall. Samuel Belding died after 1819.
According to notes written on the family history by Frederick Thompson of Chance Harbour some years ago, Samuel drowned at sea, and was unmarried. This would have had to have been after 1819 when he signed the Petition to the Crown for lands with his father, Daniel.2
