Benjamin Salls Wait was born on 10 October 1814 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Enoch Wait and Sarah Salls. Benjamin Salls Wait was baptized on 9 July 1815 at St George's Anglican Church, Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2
