     Charlotte Elisa Wait was born on 13 July 1817 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 She was baptized on 13 July 1817 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 She was the daughter of Enoch Wait and Sarah Salls. Charlotte Elisa Wait married John Baxter on 5 January 1837 at Eaton, Compton Co, Quebec; Both parties were residents of Bury, Quebec.3,4 Charlotte Elisa Wait died on 9 August 1859 at Lingwick, Compton Co, Quebec, at age 42; was "accidentally killed" according to the church death record.5 She was buried on 11 August 1859 at Compton Co, Quebec.5
