Jacob Seymour Wait was born on 5 March 1820 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Enoch Wait and Sarah Salls. Jacob Seymour Wait was baptized on 11 June 1820 at St George's Anglican Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2
