John Calvin Stanley married Marietta Thurber, daughter of William Thurber and Selina (?), on 24 October 1874 at Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick.³ John Calvin Stanley died on 8 August 1926 at Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick, at age 72. He was buried at North Head Cemetery, Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick.
