     Mary Elizabeth Stanley was born on 1 March 1857 at Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick.2,3 She was the daughter of Andrew Stanley and Levina Cronk. Mary Elizabeth Stanley married Alden Henry Bryant. Mary Elizabeth Stanley married George William Nelson on 11 April 1882 at Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick. Mary Elizabeth Stanley died on 24 April 1942 at North Head, Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick, at age 85; Her son, Newton Bryant, was the informant and offered that her father, Andrew Stanley, was born in Mount Desert, and her mother, Levina Cronk, was born in Provincetown.2 She was buried on 26 April 1942 at North Head, Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick.2
     She appeared on the census of 1881 at Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick; Mary Bryant was then a widow, and living with her children, Janette, 3 and Newton, 1, at the home of her parents, Andrew and Lovinia Stanley.4
