     Augusta Orff was born circa 1861 at Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick.1 She was the daughter of George Orff and Lavina Ann Stanley. Augusta Orff married Alfred Thomas, son of Daniel Thomas and Ann Cronk, on 5 October 1878 at Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick.2 Augusta Orff died before 1901 at Charlotte Co, New Brunswick; Her husband, Alfred Thomas, and sons were living with her parents, George and and Lavina. He was listed a s a widower.3
