George Wait Young was born on 16 February 1851 at Gould, Compton Co, Quebec. He was the son of John Young and Hannah Paulina Gorham Wait. George Wait Young was baptized on 24 February 1854 at Lingwick, Compton Co, Quebec; Lingwick Anglican Church. He died on 12 December 1939 at age 88.
