Hannah Shaw was born in 1661 at Plymouth, Plymouth Co, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Jonathan Shaw and Phebe Watson. Hannah Shaw married Thomas Paine, son of Thomas Paine and Mary Snow, on 5 August 1678. Hannah Shaw died on 24 July 1713 at Truro, Barnstable Co, Massachusetts.¹ She was buried at Truro Old North Cemetery, Truro, Barnstable Co, Massachusetts; Hannah's stone is the oldest in the Old North Cemetery.¹
