Mary Townsend Nokes

     Mary Townsend Nokes was born on 13 November 1817 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. She was the daughter of Stephen Nokes and Jane Longeway. Mary Townsend Nokes was baptized on 31 May 1818 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Caldwell's Manor & Christie's Manor Anglican Church. She married Morey Mandigo, son of Levi Mandigo and Elizabeth Boomhower, on 23 January 1838 at St Armand Methodist Church, St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. Mary Townsend Nokes died on 15 March 1882 at Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec, at age 64.¹ She was buried on 17 March 1882 at Beebe Village Cemetery, Beebe, Stanstead Co, Quebec; Her burial record notes she was a native of Clarenceville.¹
