     Esther Asseltine Nokes was born on 17 November 1819 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. She was the daughter of Stephen Nokes and Jane Longeway. Esther Asseltine Nokes was baptized on 5 March 1820 at St George's Anglican Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. She married Ira Mandigo, son of Levi Mandigo and Elizabeth Boomhower, on 18 February 1839 at St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; St Armand Methodist Church. Esther Asseltine Nokes died on 25 February 1898 at Sutton, Brome Co, Quebec, at age 78.1 She was buried at Fairmount Cemetery, Sutton, Brome Co, Quebec.2
