     Hiram Patterson was born circa 1795 at Quebec.1 He was the son of Danforth Patterson and Chloe Smith. Hiram Patterson married Amanda (?) circa 1816. Hiram Patterson died in June 1870 at Hereford, Compton Co, Quebec; Hiram Patterson was 75 years old and belonged to the Church of England.2
     Hiram Patterson was listed in the Field Return of the Company of the First Regiment of Hastings Militia under command of Captain George Bleecker, Assembled 18 Oct 1834 at Shannonville: under "The Indian Tract" which is likely Tyendinaga, he was listed as aged 38.3 He lived circa 1840 at Bay of Quinte, Ontario; A land record in Quebec dated 1840 states Hiram Patterson was of Bay of Quinte. He appeared on the census of 25 August 1850 at Edwards, St Lawrence Co, New York; Hiram Patterson, 54, wife Amanda, 50, Maria, 8, and Hiram, 13, all born Canada.1 He appeared on the census of 1861 at Hereford, Compton Co, Quebec; Hiram Patterson, married, age 67, born in the US, was listed alone many entries above Amanda, 62, and Hiram Jr., 25.4
