William Norton was born circa 1535.1 He died after 1604 at Broadway, Somersetshire, England.1
William Nortron was described as the eldest of the family, but his parents are currently (2002) unknown. He had two younger brothers, John, also a tanner who made his Will in 1576 and Robert, who lived in Wells as an innholder. In 1590, when Robert died, he had no children, leaving property to his nephews.1
