Samuel Salls Wait was born on 16 January 1809 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Briggs Wait and Mary Sheer/Shier. Samuel Salls Wait was baptized on 6 August 1815 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec.2 He died on 27 October 1828 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 19.2 He was buried on 28 October 1828.2
