     Famicha Kerr was born on 4 February 1839 at Nova Scotia.1,2 She was the daughter of Ebenezer Kerr and Carolyn Lavinia Gesner. Famicha Kerr married Reuben Chase before 1901.2 Famicha Kerr died on 1 September 1921 at River Hebert, Cumberland Co, Nova Scotia, at age 82; On Sept. 3rd [1921], the funeral of the late Famicha Chase, was held fro the ANglican Church, Parrsboro. Mrs. Chase was a daughter of the late Ebenezer Kerr of Fox River, a granddaughter of Colonel Gesner Kerr of Cornwallis, N.S., Colonels Kerr and Gesner were united Empire Loyalists and both fought in the revolutionary war and were later sent by the English Government to establish a militia at Cornwallis. Private Chipman Kerr, formerly of Fox River and now of Spirit River, Alta., Canada's first Victoria Cross hero was a nephew of the deceased. Mrs. Chase leaves to mourn her loss, one brother, Ebenezer Kerr of Fox River, one sister Mrs. Ephriam Seaman of Minudie. Capt. Robt. Kerry, Gesner Kerr, Henry G. Kerr, John Kerr and Harry Lake of Fox River are nephews of the deceased and were pall bearers. Two sisters, Mrs. David Pettis of Montreal and Mrs. John C. Spicer Spencer's Island both died within a day of each other last year. Mrs. Spicer's funeral being held one day and Mrs. Pettis the next. Mrs. Chase was a woman of very estimable qualities and will be much missed by all who knew her. Her husband the late Reuben Chase of Sackville, N.B., predeceased her many years ago.3,1 She was buried on 3 September 1921 at Fox River, Cumberland Co, Nova Scotia.1
