Candace Patterson was born on 19 May 1796 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.¹ She was the daughter of Danforth Patterson and Chloe Smith. Candace Patterson was baptized on 16 July 1815 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.² She married Jacob Derick, son of Philip Derick and Anna Maria Brust, on 2 May 1816 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.² Candace Patterson died on 24 August 1874 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 78.³ She was buried on 26 August 1874 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.³
