     Samuel Wheeler was born on 22 January 1818 at Quebec.1 He was the son of Jubal Wheeler and Mary Van Dyke. Samuel Wheeler married Chloe Miranda Wait, daughter of Enoch Wait and Margaret Patterson, on 24 March 1851 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.2
