     Mary Ann Wait was born on 4 April 1814 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 She was the daughter of Briggs Wait and Mary Sheer/Shier. Mary Ann Wait was baptized on 6 August 1815 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 She married William Keet, son of Jonathan Keet and Sarah Lamb, on 8 February 1832 at St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.3 Mary Ann Wait married Thomas Hardy on 1 November 1843 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.4 Mary Ann Wait died on 24 February 1887 at Derby, Orleans Co, Vermont, at age 72; The age given at the time of her death does not equal her date of birth by her baptismal record -- it is off by about 11 months.5
