     Ephraim Briggs Tryon was born circa 1825. He was the son of Daniel Tryon and Mary Ann Longeway. Ephraim Briggs Tryon married Eliza Alice Pratt before 1852. Ephraim Briggs Tryon married Matilda Jane Wait, daughter of Briggs Wait and Jane Longeway, on 31 January 1854 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 Ephraim Briggs Tryon died on 2 May 1908 at Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec.2 He was buried on 5 May 1908 at Marlington Cemetery, Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec.2
     He appeared on the census of 1880 at Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec; Briggs Tryon, 56, Matilda, 49 along with son-in-law Enoch Briggs Tryon, 32 and dau Alice J., 20. They were Wesleyan Methodist.3
