     William Keet was born on 11 May 1809 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec.1 He was the son of Jonathan Keet and Sarah Lamb. William Keet was baptized on 14 October 1824 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He married Mary Ann Wait, daughter of Briggs Wait and Mary Sheer/Shier, on 8 February 1832 at St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.3 William Keet married Sophia Allen before 1844.4 William Keet died on 13 August 1894 at New York at age 85.5
     He appeared on the census of 16 July 1850 at Schuyler Falls, Clinton Co, New York; William Keet, 41, Sophia, 38, b. NY, George, 17 and Enoch, 14, both b. Canada, along Norris Dashnow, 16, Newell Massee?, 22, both Matchmakers like William; Edson Aller, 10, Olive Liberty, 15, followed by Emily Keet, 6, b. NY.4
