     Rebecca Wood was born circa 1819 at Nova Scotia. She was the daughter of William D. Wood and Olivia Hovey Williams. Rebecca Wood married Nathan McLellan on 26 March 1840 at Gardner's Creek, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; "On Thursday last at Gardner's Creek by the Rev. William Andrew, Mr. Nathan McLellan to Miss Rebecca Wood both of the Parish of Simonds."1 Rebecca Wood died on 29 March 1889 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Rebecca had been a resident of Erin Street, Saint John.2,3 She was buried on 31 March 1889 at Church of England Cemetery, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; The funeral was held at their residence, 181 Erin Street at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.3
     She and Nathan McLellan lived between 1864 and 1865 at Windsor, Hants Co, Nova Scotia; Nathan McLellan, ship carpenter, house on Water n King.4 Rebecca Wood and Nathan McLellan lived between 1869 and 1870 at Portland, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Nathan McLellan, carpenter, house on City Road.5
