Hannah Wood

     Hannah Wood was born on 29 April 1832 at Simonds Parish, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. She was the daughter of William D. Wood and Olivia Hovey Williams. Hannah Wood married Edward McLean on 20 December 1855 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.¹ Hannah Wood married Charles Edward Loomer on 22 December 1861 at Wolfville, Nova Scotia; The date of marriage of Fenwick's parents looks like 1851, but it must be 1861. The date of marriage on Lilia's birth cert indicates Charles and Hannah married 22 Oct 1862.² Hannah Wood died on 23 November 1897 at Kings Co, New Brunswick, at age 65. She was buried after 23 November 1897 at Union Cemetery, Aylesford, Kings Co, Nova Scotia.
     After the death of her husband, Edward McLean, Hannah's two daughters, Jennie and Mary Olivia, were sent to be raised by their aunt Rebecca Wood McLellan. She appeared on the census of 1891 at Greenwood Square, Kings Co, Nova Scotia; Fenwick Loomer, 25, Hannah, 59, Lillie, 22, Nina, 19, Robert Wilson, 11, a domestic, and Rupert Loomer, 29.³
