     Hiram Herbert Wait was born on 7 March 1850 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Enoch Wait and Emily Caroline Tryon. Hiram Herbert Wait was baptized on 20 January 1851 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He died on 8 April 1898 at Stanstead Co, Quebec, at age 48; "The community was shocked Apr. 8, 1898 to hear of the sudden death of Hiram Wait, at the home of his brother, Mr. Briggs Wait. He was 48 yrs of age".2,3 He was buried at Brown's Hill Cemetery, Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec.3
