     Verna Sharon was born in September 1881 at Hatley, Stanstead Co, Quebec.1,2 She was the daughter of William Sharon and Eliza Jane Brown. Verna Sharon married Briggs Ephraim Wait, son of Enoch Wait and Emily Caroline Tryon, on 7 February 1906 at Fitch Bay, Stanstead Co, Quebec; Quoting the Stanstead Journal, "At the home of the groom's mother, Mrs. Emily Waite, on Feb. 7, 1906, by Rev. John Pate, Mr. Briggs Waite & Miss Verna Sharon of McConnell, Quebec".3 Verna Sharon died in 1972.4 She was buried at Brown's Hill Cemetery, Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec.
