Isabella de Taillefer was born circa 1188 at Angouleme, Charente, France. She was the daughter of Aymer de Taillefer and Alice (Alix) de Courtenay. Isabella de Taillefer married King John, son of King Henry II and Eleanore of Aquitaine, on 26 August 1200 at Bordeaux, Gironde, France. Isabella de Taillefer died on 31 May 1245 at Fontevrault, L'Ab, Maine-Et-Loire, France.
