Simon de Dammartin was born circa 1180 at Spain.1 He was the son of Alberic II and Mathilda de Ponthieu. Simon de Dammartin married Marie Ponthieu, daughter of William IV of Ponthieu and Alys Countess of the Vexin, circa 1212 at Aumale, Seine-Maritime, France. Simon de Dammartin died in 1239 at Castile, Spain.1
