Marie Ponthieu was born on 17 April 1199 at Aumale, Seine-Maritime, France.1 She was the daughter of William IV of Ponthieu and Alys Countess of the Vexin. Marie Ponthieu married Simon de Dammartin, son of Alberic II and Mathilda de Ponthieu, circa 1212 at Aumale, Seine-Maritime, France. Marie Ponthieu died in 1251 at Spain.
