     Jessie Campbell was born circa 1858 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1 She was the daughter of Ephraim Campbell. Jessie Campbell married William Alexander Ward, son of William Ward and Jane (?), before 1884. Jessie Campbell died on 21 October 1891 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Her death notice indicates: "d. St. John city, 21st inst., Jessie Ward, relict of Alexander Ward, 33rd year, left husband, three children. Funeral from her residence 41 Spring St., Friday 23rd inst., 2 p.m. (Boston papers please copy)."1,2 She was buried on 23 October 1891 at Church of England Cemetery, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Jessie's Burial Permit lists that she was aged 33 yrs, a resident of "Spring St. (N. End)". She died in Victoria Ward of "slow fever".2,1
