     Sophia Burket was born on 26 November 1841 at Germany.1 She married James Nisbet, son of Oliver Nisbet and Mary Stewart, in 1874.2 A bond for the marriage of Sophia Burket and James Nisbet was signed in 1874 at Saint John Co, New Brunswick.3 Sophia Burket died on 21 February 1917 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick, at age 75.4,5 She was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.
      As of 1874, Sophia Burket was also known as Sophia Burkham.3 She appeared on the census of 1881; Sophia was aged 39, born Germany.6 She appeared on the census of 1891 at Stanley Ward, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Sophia was aged 49, and children Jessie, 15, Mary, 14 and Joseph, 10 were at home.7 She appeared on the census of 1901 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Sophia Nesbett, 59 (b. 26 Nov 1841), and son Joseph, 20 (b. 29 Jul 1880).1
