Charles Anthony Nisbet was born in 1935 at Milkish, Kings Co, New Brunswick.1,2 He was the son of James Scovil Nisbet and Mary Agnes McLean. Charles Anthony Nisbet died on 6 August 2005 at Victoria, British Columbia; He served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 32 years and was a life member and long time Secretary Treasurer of the R.C.N.A.A. Charles was also a former member of the local Sport Fishing Advisory Board, and a champion of the rights of local recreational fishermen.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharyn, his son Chuck (Justine) and his daughter Sherri (Rick). He is also survived by two sisters, Bernice (late Gerard) O'Hara of Saint John, and Norma (late John) Gibson of Moncton, his sister-in-law Gertrude Nisbet of Gondola Point, and his brother Ernest (Joan) Nisbet of Milkish, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers James and John (Jack), and a sister Anna. A funeral Mass was held at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Victoria on August 11.1 He was buried on 20 August 2005 at St Bridget's Church, Chapel Grove, New Brunswick; "Home is the sailor, home from the sea."1
