     Nelson Wood was born circa 1808 at Nova Scotia.1 He was the son of Nehemiah Marble Wood and Rebecca Rawlins. Nelson Wood married Sarah A. Wood on 6 February 1833 at River Phillip, Cumberland Co, Nova Scotia.2,3,4 Nelson Wood died on 1 September 1895 at Beacon Falls, New Haven Co, Connecticut; Nelson was 87 yrs and 5 mos old. His father was listed as Marble, and no mother's name.3 He was buried at Pinesbridge Cemetery, Beacon Falls, New Haven Co, Connecticut.5

Maine, and Melvin C., 6, born Massachusetts.7 He appeared on the census of 4 June 1870 at Oxford, New Haven Co, Connecticut; "Elson" Wood, 61, Sarah A., 57, Ella, 19, Sophia Vickery, 32, and Lilliedell Vickery, 8.8
