Enoch Wood

     Enoch Wood was born on 14 April 1814 at Nova Scotia.^1,2 He was the son of Nehemiah Marble Wood and Rebecca Rawlins. Enoch Wood married Priscilla Parker, daughter of Robert Parker and Desire Wood.² Enoch Wood died on 27 April 1888 at Chelsea, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts, at age 74; Enoch was 74 yrs, 11 mos, 14 days old. He was an expressman, born in Nova Scotia. He died of "organic disease of the heart". His parents were listed as Marvel and Rebecca.³
     He appeared on the census of 3 September 1850 at Roxbury, Norfolk Co, Massachusetts; Enoch Wood was 36 and living with a Dudley family.⁴ He appeared on the census of 1 May 1865 at Chelsea, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts; Enoch Wood, 52, Priscilla, 47, Nehemiah, 19, and Emerline, 17, all born Nova Scotia; William Wood, 30, born Maine; Anna D., 27, born Nova Scotia; William Wood, 1, born Massachusetts.⁵ He was naturalized on 12 October 1865 at Boston, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts.¹ He appeared on the census of 30 June 1870 at Chelsea, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts; Enoch Wood, 56, Priscilla, 59, Nehemiah, 24 and Emeline, 22.
