     Nehemiah Wood was born on 16 January 1727 at Mansfield, Tolland Co, Connecticut.1 He was the son of Thomas Wood and Abigail Hartshorn. Nehemiah Wood was baptized on 11 August 1728 at Mansfield, Tolland Co, Connecticut. He married Elizabeth Hovey, daughter of Daniel Hovey and Elizabeth Slap, on 5 March 1752 at Mansfield, Tolland Co, Connecticut.2 Nehemiah Wood died circa 1796 at Nova Scotia.1
     Nehemiah was one of the first Planter grantees of Falmouth. He was assigned Lot #8 there 15 Nov 1760.
He received 500 acres (Farm Lot sold to Henry D. Denson on 23 Feb 1764); He also exchanged land with the heirs of Capt. Edm. Watmough 14 Apr 1769. He died about 1796 intestate. The division of his land was reported 15 Jan 1796.3,4,5 Nehemiah Wood testified in Kings Co "Captain Edward Yorke of Falmouth, Kings Co, violently assaulted, beat and bruised him ths deponent at Falmouth aforesaid by kicking him on the hip, by throwing a frozen cow dung at him which hit him on his side, and then violently pushing him against a fence, and at last pushed thi sdeponent down a hill whereby he fell and was much hurt, and threatened that he would send said Deponent to Hell. And further this Deponent saith not."6
