John Luff

John Luff was born circa 1583 at England.1 He married Bridget (?) between 1637 and 1647 at prob Salem, Essex Co, Massachusetts; The household of John Luff containied only one person in 1637, so he apparently married Bridget after that time, therefore, he couldn't be the father of Joanna. It is likely that Bridget was the widowed mother of either Joanna or Robert Hibbert.1 John Luff died before 24 January 1667/68 at Salem, Essex Co, Massachusetts.1
John, Bridget and daughter Joanna were passengers on the"Mary and John" to Boston in 1633. John Luff was listed as one who took the oath of allegiance on 24 Mar 1633 before departing.1,2
