     Frederick Patterson was born on 27 April 1844 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Reuben Patterson and Elizabeth Phillips. Frederick Patterson was baptized on 20 August 1854 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He married Jane Jones on 11 June 1876 at Constable, Franklin Co, New York. Frederick Patterson died on 28 May 1926 at Burke, Franklin Co, New York, at age 82; Fred Patterson died Friday morning at 5:40 AM following a long illness. He was 82 years of age, and had lived in Burke for over fifty years; carpenter by trade and operated a small farm later in life.
He was a member of the Presbyterian church and of Frontier Lodge, F&AM, 517, of Chateaugay. He belonged to the political party and served in several community positions.
He married Jane Jones of Burke, but she preceded him in death by 25 years.
He is survived by an adopted daughter, Mrs. Fred Whitcomb of Burke, four brothers, Heman of Iowa; Hiram of Dakota; Lorenzo of Greenwich, MA; and Mark of Clarenton, VT.1 He was buried on 29 May 1926 at Burke Center Cemetery, Burke, Franklin Co, New York.1
     He appeared on the census of 30 January 1920 at Burke, Franklin Co, New York; Fred Patterson, 75, Fred Whitcom, 56, b. VT, son-in-law; Lilia Whitcom, 26, b. England, daughter; "Francis" Whitcom, 4 8/12, b. NY, granddaughter.2
