     Matthew Borden was born in May 1638 at Portsmouth, Newport Co, Rhode Island.1 He was the son of Richard Borden and Joan Fowle. Matthew Borden married Sarah Clayton on 4 March 1673/74 at Newport, Newport Co, Rhode Island.1 Matthew Borden died on 5 July 1708 at age 70.1
