George Brust was born on 18 May 1764. He was the son of Johannes Jacob Brust and Anna Katherina Wolff. George Brust married Christina File, daughter of John Melchior File and Elizabeth Hunsinger, on 11 October 1789. George Brust died on 27 October 1841 at Brunswick, Rensselaer Co, New York, at age 77. He was buried in 1841 at 3rd Gilead Cemetery, Centre Brunswick, Rensselaer Co, New York.
