 		The Pioneers of Dallas County was organized on July 13, 1875. One hundred and twelve people attended that first meeting on the steps of the courthouse. Isaac B. Webb was one of the four Vice Presidents elected on that day. The group was reorganized in 1979 as the Dallas County Pioneer Association (DCPA).

DCPA has published three books of stories submitted by individuals about families, businesses, locations, and organizations that have played a part in the history of Dallas County. They have been very helpful in our research on the descendants of persons buried at Webb Chapel Cemetery. The books are:
  • Proud Heritage : Pioneer Families of Dallas County. c1986-
  • Proud Heritage II: Pioneer Families of Dallas County. c1993-
  • Proud Heritage III: Pioneer Families of Dallas County. c2002-
