Sam Jordon Injured In Auto Wreck
Sam Jordan of Farmers Branch is in St. Pauls Hospital in Dallas suffering
with a broken back, two breaks in one of his legs and many bruises over his body
as a result of being struck by a truck while going to his farm early Wednesday
mroning. The accident happened about 6:30 a. m. while Mr. Jordan was driving to
his farm work south of Farmers Branch. When about half a mile south of the town
his wagon was struck from the rear by a Yellow Trasnit truck and mules, wagon
and driver were thrown from the road Rhoton ambulance was called and carried Mr.
Jordan to the hospital where, it is stated, it will take severfal days to
determine how serious the accident may be as regards his prospect of lving. Mr.
Jordan is 63 years of age and such an accident will be very serious with him
most likely.
The driver of the truck is reported to have said that he met another truck and
the lights so blinded him that he failed to see the wagon. And that he had been
driving for about 36 hours. If the latter be correct he was not in condition to
be on the road with a truck.
