The scales were given to the Museum in 1973 by Mr.G.Freeman, then resident in Great Yarmouth.

 

Believed to date from 1882/1883, when the London & Yarmouth scalemaking business was temporarily under the control of Harriet Wedderburn, following the death of her husband Jabez....
