Katherine WELLS⁽⁵⁾⁽³⁸⁾ ⁽²⁹⁾ was born about 1680 in Whorekill Hundredl,Sussex Co Dl..⁽⁶³⁾⁽⁵⁾⁽²⁹⁾⁽¹⁰⁾⁽⁴⁸⁾⁽⁴⁰⁾⁽⁴¹⁾⁽¹⁷⁾ Flo Montgomary " Feb.15 1685/6 Mary Wells admxx and widow of James Welles and her issue John and Thomas , Planters of Kent Co. and Katherine, sold Betty's Fortune and Shresbury [DeedsKT B1:97,98,99 & DeedsKT O:268 ], "children corroborating" to Griffith Jones of Phila[DeedsKT B1:97,98,99] apparently in payment of a debt which she was "bowden for 39,200 pounds of Tabacco on demand" (B1/97). On 21 April 1685 Mary Wells, widow and Richard Mitchell of Talbot Co. MD. adm. of James Wells sold, in Kent Co., Pa. HOWELLS LOT [DeedsKT B1:65] near Dundee "laid out for James Wells."[DeedsKT B1:21]
