Elizabeth Reese (Riece) WELLS(155) was born about 1755 in Delaware or Maryland.(200) (197)(199) Will probated in Surry Co NC in dated 25 Jan 1810 Prob Nov 1810 for James Wells which named as heirs his wife, Mary, his sons :James,Thomas, Elizabeth Riece, Lucretia Witty, Newman(spelled Numan) who married 18 Feb 1794 Rebecca Edwards, Rachel Hutchens, Susanna Rash, John Wells, Marian Wells and Mary Beck. Mary Ellen Adams "Elizabeth Wells married Sidney James Reeves in 1785 in Guilford County.James Reeves/Reaves appears on the 1810 and 1820 Buncombe County census. Inthe 1830 census there is an older male in his son, Malachia's, household -probably James. Based on these censuses, James was born 1760-1765 and died between 1831-1840. There does not appear to be an entry for Elizabeth in either the 1810 or 1820 censuses -- all females in his household are too young to have been married in 1785. Malachia signed a will in Jan 1827 naming Ebed Jones executor.
