The first one would have been the same age as our most likely candidate for Charles, and the second one would have been 4 years younger. Baptism of Charles:
The International Genealogy Index (IGI) lists two children named Charles Hinchliff who were at Penistone in the time period that we would expect Ann's husband to be born. The first one, Baptized September 187,1794) seems the more likely candidate because he would have been about 22 at the time of the marriage, while the second one would have been only 16. Both records list Josh. Hinchliff as the father. The church record has not been located yet. |
