The record book of the Penistone church, documents the baptism of Ann Wainwright, daughter of William Wainwright and Martha Birkinshaw, of Thurlstone, on April 9, 1840. Ann's father, William, is identified as a Roper. The birth date is also documented as February 6, 1840.

Marriage of Ann Wainwright and Thomas Wagstaff:

Ann Wainwright is believed to have married Thomas Wagstaff on December 28, 1868. The parish register is not available yet.

Ann was previously married to William Dyson.

Birth of daughter Matilda:
