Baptism of Smith:

Based upon 1881 Census records, Smith, son of John Wainwright and Sarah [Ibberson] Wainwright is believed to have been born in 1860.
He was probably baptized in the "Netherfield Independant or Congregational" Church in Thurlstone, where his parents were married.
A copy of the church record book is not available yet.
No IGI record was found.

The 1881 Census indicates that he was 21 years old on his previous birthday, that he was living at Prospect House in Thurlstone, and that his occupation was a Mason.

Netherfield Chapel Graveyard - Picture 0007 Smith's son, William's gravestone, at the Netherfield Independent Chapel in Thurlstone, shows that he died November 13, 1892 at age 9 months and that his father was Smith Wainwright, who died about 5 weeks later.

Burial of Smith:

Netherfield Chapel Graveyard - Picture 0007 Smith's gravestone, at the Netherfield Independent Chapel in Thurlstone, shows that he died December 24, 1892 at Age 33.

Albert, his younger brother, is reported to have carved Smith's headstone, 24
